Biography:

Max’s background is in physics and computer science; he obtained his bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2014, and his PhD at the University of Cambridge, UK, working on machine learning atomistic models for simulations of molecules and materials. He has since worked at EPFL, Switzerland; Aalto University, Finland; and TU Darmstadt, Germany, before joining the University of York as a Lecturer in Digital Chemistry, working on applications of ML atomistic simulations.
