Dr Louise Laverty

Lecturer in Sociology and Dental Public Health
Biography:

I am a medical sociologist working in the School of Dentistry. In this role, I bring a social science perspective to teaching and research around oral health and health systems. My research interests cover critical public health, inequalities in access to healthcare, and critical data studies. I am interested in pursuing work around health-deservingness and how this intersects with wider resentment politics around access to healthcare during an NHS dental crisis.
