I have worked for the University of York since 1999, first as a postdoctoral associate, then as laboratory manager. In my current role as Head of Technical Operations (Chemistry, Environment & Geography), I lead, coordinate, and manage all technical services and physical infrastructure across the Departments of Chemistry and Environment & Geography. This includes directing high-quality operational support for all teaching, research, and laboratory environments, and leading technical teams to ensure effective and efficient service delivery across workshops and facilities.
I am also a founding member of TechYork, as well as a member of the Technician Commitment Delivery and Steering Groups.
