Join us for a day of workshops, discussions and networking opportunities, all designed to support the career development of research professionals from across the White Rose community.

The event will be based on the highly successful Careers Day for Research Professionals run by the Researcher Development and Culture Team in Organisational Development and Professional Learning (OD&PL), University of Leeds.

To secure your place, please fill in this form. There are 60 places available for this event with 20 places per university.

Place allocation: Places will be allocated through a ballot process. After the application deadline, all eligible applications will be entered into a random draw, from which 60 participants, 20 per partner, will be selected. This method ensures that everyone who applies has an equal opportunity to take part in the event.

Travel costs: We are able to cover travel costs for participants coming from York and Sheffield. However, we are unable to offer travel support for those based in Leeds, as the event is being held there.

Applications are now closed for this event.

How we define Research Professionals:

Research professionals are members of staff who are crucial in enabling the research environment to flourish within their institution, but are not directly researchers themselves. They may undertake roles in the library, research/innovation/enterprise and other central services. They may also work in faculties or schools/departments and they may also work for large research projects (i.e. the role was built into the grant application for that project).
