The White Rose PhD Careers and Networking Fair is a collaborative regional event connecting doctoral researchers and employers from across the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.
Organised by the White Rose University Consortium, the fair creates a shared space for networking, career exploration and knowledge exchange, showcasing the breadth of opportunities open to PhD researchers both within and beyond academia. Join us to:

Travel costs:
- Travel expenses can only be claimed for a return trip from your home institution’s location (York or Sheffield) to Leeds.
- University of York delegates travelling by train must book their train by contacting info@whiterose.ac.uk
- You must register for the event using the form provided and sign in on the day.
- You can claim a maximum of £30, however, we expect claims to be below this amount.
- Only travel costs are covered.
- Standard class train travel only.
- A valid receipt must always be provided for each expense item on the claim form.
- Claims must be submitted within 3 months of the expenses being incurred.
- All expense claims must be made on the University of York’s standard claim forms.
- You will receive a copy of the expense forms via email after the event.

The Yorkshire Technician Exchange Partnership (YoTEP) is a collaborative partnership between technical professionals from the Universities of Leeds, York and Sheffield. This is a growing regional network that supports skills sharing, collaboration and professional connection across our technical workforce. We enable exchanges across a wide range of disciplines, from science to the arts. Through reciprocal visits, technicians are able to learn new techniques, share knowledge, understand different teaching and research environments and build valuable professional relationships.

Viper RF
Viper RF design, develop and deliver custom Radio Frequency and mm wave integrated circuit designs, manufactured devices and assembled modules used in radio communication products for Space, Defence, Aerospace and Commercial sectors. Generally (but not exclusively) we employ graduate and post-graduate candidates as design engineers from RF/Electronics Engineering and Physics backgrounds. A strong interest in aspects of radio based communications systems, semiconductor manufacture, thermal modelling, RF and mm wave circuit design or module integration would be useful. You will be mentored and will actively contribute to MMIC and module design, tape-out and post-wafer production testing of live projects in the very early stages of your employment.
