I am Postdoctoral Research Associate in the department of Language and Linguistic Science at the University of York. My research interests are in forensic speech science, sociophonetics and speech technology. My PhD investigated the production of transcripts of evidential audio recordings within the criminal justice system, exploring methods of transcription by forensic phonetics experts, non-expert police transcribers and automatic speech recognition systems.
