Biography:
For his PhD, Andrew interviewed young people aged 16 to 24 about Youth Climate Activism providing new understandings of how youth use climate activism to mitigate uncertain futures because of the climate crisis. The findings also challenged narrow understandings of the types of activisms young people participate in as a response to the climate crisis. Andrew’s wider research interests are futures, youth transitions, existential threat, consumption/non-consumption and political sociology.
