One of four original partnerships funded in 1997 from more than 70 applications to the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the Faraday Packaging Partnership works at the interface between pioneering research and its industrial application. It offers a gateway to packaging technology and expertise from within both academic and commercial spheres.
The partnership encompasses the White Rose universities, Kings College, and the universities of Nottingham and Salford. Commercial alliances include Pira International, Disperse Technologies and Epigem. Together the Partnership covers a range of packaging expertise which includes creative and effective design, advanced materials for functionality and usability, design simulation and modelling tools, and automation and robotics for cost effective production and supply.
