Claire Pickerden is the Collaboration Development Manager based at the University of Sheffield. Claire is responsible for developing and facilitating White Rose projects, running the Collaboration Fund and supporting staff from all three institutions in new collaborations. Claire also supports the work of the White Rose Brussels office, setting up and managing a range of high profile events across our thematic priorities.
Claire has wide ranging business development and project management experience across the public sector with particular expertise in sourcing funding, building partnerships, stakeholder engagement and public speaking. Claire was a founding member of the Women@TUOS Network in Sheffield and has an interest in women in leadership issues. She sits on the Management Group for the CArDiNAL Network creating clinical academic career pathways for Nurses and Allied Health Professionals. She is also a member of the ARMA Conference Working Group.
Previous employment includes running the European programme at the UKRC, the UK’s leading organisation for the provision of gender equality services into the STEM sector; consultancy services for the third sector in fundraising, business planning and networking; and working within the creative sector on inclusive and multicultural theatre.
