Collaboration Fund Success –  Microbial pollution in water sources under extreme weather conditions

Following their successful White Rose Collaboration Fund bid  Microbial pollution in water sources under extreme weather conditions Dr Isabel Douterelo Soler, University of Sheffield and Professor Miller Alonso Camargo-Valero, University of Leeds have been awarded additional funding form The Sao Paulo Research Foundation for a Visitor Research Grant (International)  for a workshop in August 2018 at the Universidade de São Paulo.

The objective of this event is to  build on the expertise of Dr Isabel Douterelo Soler and of Professor Miller Alonso Camargo-Valero, continuing to improve strategies and gain insights into how to safeguard water quality and safety. 

This award follows on from their  successful event International Workshop on Microbial Pollution in Water Sources under Extreme Weather Events held in the UK in October 2017 bringing together both White Rose and international researchers to share research and look for solutions to a growing issue.
